    The Missing Piece

    I haven't even used the wind assist but I know this is the missing piece of the amazing product I have been using for years. There are few days when the wind and the shibumi don't see eye to eye and the wind assist will be perfect. We are huge shibumi fans and are about to enjoy our fifth beach season at Emerald Isle. My husband and I were talking and think it would be cool if you came up with a type of patch that people could attach to the shibumi to personalize it. Maybe a sports team, a last initial or a NC flag. Just a thought! Thanks for making such great products. See you on the crystal coast.

    A day at the beach

    I love my Shibumi, easy to put up and take down. Lots of room underneath to stay out of the sun. Now with the clips, we don't worry about the cloth falling on us when the wind dies down. GREAT INVENTION!!

    Wind Assist

    We have owned a Shibumi Shade for 2 or 3 years now and is the BEST beach shade/umbrella we have ever owned!! The only drawback, or downside, is wind the quickly changes direction, which happens in the Outer Banks quite often or you lose the breeze. Now with the wind assist, that is no longer an issue!! No more tying the corners to the beach chairs…😂😂 Thanks Shibumi…great addition to the arsenal of AWESOME products!!

    Back when you first started, I purchased Shibumi Shades not only for my wife and me, but also for each of my four siblings (NC, SC, FL, and HI). The one I sent my two sibs in HI (my brother in Kailua and my sister on the North Shore) were the first to be seen there. People were amazed at both their functional and aesthetic value.

    My brother in Kailua (east side of Oahu) has an almost constant proper breeze. He loves his Shibumi Shades (has two)! By the way, I also sent him your “wind assist, “ which he like me really digs it for its ability to not only aid should the wind die, but in his case to stop the flapping in the near constant stiff breeze there.

    On the North Shore where the wind is crazy variable, the Shibumi Shade did not work so well. The wind assist helps there as it holds things in place regardless of the wind direction.

    Back when I bought my first Shibumi Shade and noticed it’s malfunction here in AB on dead wind days, I called you guys suggesting maybe adding grommets to the outer corners so to accomplish what you have now accomplished free of grommets with your very smart “wind assist” device — works great!

    By the way, I also love my new chairs and the piggy-backing device that allows me to connect my wife’s chair to mine and backpack them both through the dunes and to the beach — crazy convenient!
