Shibumi Shade forms an arch that is about 6.5 feet tall and 18 feet wide and provides shade for 6 to sit side by side, with room leftover for bags, coolers, beach gear, etc! When packed up, the dimensions are 4" x 4" x 27" and weighs just 4 pounds!

Shibumi Shade Mini forms an arch that is about 6.5 feet tall and 9 feet wide and provides shade for 2 to sit side by side. When packed up, the dimensions are 4" x 4" x 20" and weighs just 2 pounds!

Shibumi® beach shades are designed to float effortlessly on the ocean breeze. As little as 3 mph of wind is all it takes to keep the canopy floating comfortably. Most beaches get a sufficient breeze (2-3+ mph) over 90% of the time.

However, there are times at the beach when the wind just simply won't cooperate, which is why we created the Wind Assist™. This handy accessory attaches to your canopy, anchoring each side with sandbags to create a tent-like shape. So even in tricky wind conditions, you can still go with the flow.

Shibumi Shades are shipped in plain cardboard boxes sealed with tape in our signature blue and teal colors. Usually when this happens, UPS has simply dropped it at a neighbor's by mistake, or perhaps it could be at a side or back door of your home where you might not typically look.

The Shibumi Shade warranty policy allows for a maximum of one pole replacement within 3 years of the purchase date of your Shibumi Shade Classic or Shibumi Shade Mini (the warranty covers purchases made from our website, authorized retailers, and Amazon.com).

You can exchange your broken pole set for a brand new one at any retail store that carries Shibumi Shade Classic or Shibumi Shade Mini, except Dick's Sporting Goods stores. Click here to view a list of retail stores.

For future reference - it is possible to bend the poles *too* much during setup (see example here). Just be sure that (a) you put the pole ends into the sand at more of an angle rather than straight-up-and-down, and (b) that your arch shape is more of a "rainbow" and less of a "train tunnel".

Before heading out to the beach, we recommend checking the wind speed and direction using windfinder.com (they also have a free smartphone app) to make sure that the conditions are optimal for Shibumi Shade or Shibumi Shade Mini.
