Money WELL spent!
Shibumi is awesome. So simple to set up. Makes beach time an absolute joy. After 4 years of use our only “bad time” was one particular day that the wind in St John wasn’t holding it up. Made for a fun memorable experience even then. That was before wind assist. Definitely get the wind assist.
And yes, that means it’s light enough to take wherever you go even on flights. Skip taking underwear and buy sunscreen at your destination if you need to save weight. Don’t leave the Shibumi at home.

Absolutely perfect!

Worth it.
I have always wanted one of these, but did not want to drop the change. I finally broke down and did it. should have bitten the bullet years ago. The wind assist is just ok. I mean, it solves the windless problem kind of. These things are living their best life when there is wind, which there usually is.

Easy set up - a must for beach days
We live in Nebraska and have a small beach on our property. We did also purchase the wind assist just in case it didn't work as well as on the coast. The shade is small enough when stored that it can fit in a checked bag, so we flew with it to Florida. The set up is easy and intuitive. The wind assist helps just enough when the wind kept changing directions on our Florida beach day. The best news? It works in Nebraska, too!
