Our backyard has zero coverage and gets blasted by the sun. I love that the Park Vista is lightweight, easy to set up, and now makes the backyard an enjoyable place to lounge by providing plenty to shade.
The Park Vista shade is awesome. It’s compact enough to keep in my car without taking up space, but makes a huge difference on sunny sidelines or at the park. I can set it up in about two minutes, and it provides plenty of coverage for the whole family.

Can I use my Shibumi Park Vista™ on the Beach?
Park Vista™ is designed to anchor best in grass and natural ground, so it’s not the ideal fit for ocean side setups. For beach days, we recommend the Shibumi Beach Shade as it’s specifically built to perform beautifully in those conditions.
How long does it take to set up and takedown?
About 2 minutes. No extra hands needed. One person, quick setup, quick takedown, done.
Can I connect multiple Park Vista™ Shades together?
Yes, Park Vista™ is modular, so you can zip multiple shades together for larger group coverage.
Does it provide sun protection?
Yes, UPF 50+ fabric helps block harmful UV rays so you can stay out longer.
Is it waterproof?
While it’s not fully waterproof, Park Vista™ is water-resistant and designed to keep you comfortable through light drizzles.
How is this different from a 10x10 tent?
All the shade, none of the struggle. Park Vista™ delivers a similar footprint at nearly 10x lighter than a 10x10—sets up in minutes, no wrestling required.
Does it work on hard ground?
The Park Vista is made for grass or soft ground. In the event that the ground is too hard to stake, here are some tips:
- Tip 1: If Vista pole goes in part way and stops, move the pole a few inches to avoid rock, root, etc that could be preventing the pole from fully inserting
- Tip 2: If you have access to a water source, dump about ½ gallon of water on the ground where the vista poles will insert. Allow to sit and soak into ground, then insert poles
- Tip 3: Purchase a Hand Screw that can be kept inside your vista bag for locations with hard grass or dirt.

We used Park Vista on a photoshoot and it became our home base for lunches, breaks, everything. The shade coverage is way bigger than expected for how lightweight it is.

We've used the shade for several of my son's flag football games this spring - just in time for the brutally hot NC spring/summer. The shade was easy to set up and take down (typical Shibumi), and provided plenty of shade for the whole family. My favorite part is the small pack size, making it easy to just leave it in the car for games all year.

For local concerts and music festivals, we set up toward the back - staying cool and comfortable while the crowd up front bakes. Super easy to set up and take down. The Shibumi chairs are surprisingly comfortable too - supportive enough for hours. Makes it easy to stretch out for an afternoon nap or just settle in with music in the shade.

I am a mom of two young kids. This has been an amazing product to pop-up in my backyard - under the slide, bounce house or water table. I can take it down to mow the grass and easily set it back up again. I am surprised how much I've used it considering it's only April!

Amazing new companion for our family on the sidelines. Especially useful between games on tournament weekends. SOO much better than dragging a big heavy 10X10 in and out of the garage and car. This is so much smaller and lighter, it can just live in the trunk when we're not using it. Enough shade for the four of us & easy to set up.

This shade is super light weight and the set up was so easy! It really changed the game for my small family and all of our backyard adventures.
