I am elderly and l have had my mini Shibumi shade for several years now. I can get to the beach, carrying this lightweight Shade easily. I can put it up, by myself in about 2.5 minutes. It's a breeze!! Take down is even easier and it all fits back into the little carry bag easily. As long as I can go to the beach, that is how long I will take my Shibumi shade with me. Great product, great customer service.

We got this after our party tent blew away on the beach and we were not disappointed. It is so simple to set up and take down. It provided great shade and was the prefect size to accommodate our family. The fabric is not loud in the breeze but is a nice kind of white noise. Great for a beach nap :) I highly recommend getting a Shibumi.

This is a really great design and very space saving! i love how it all fits in a slim bag no bigger than a folding bag chair. The wind changed quite a few times and it did fall over several times. one time a child “tripped” on it on purpose and then tried to tell us it fell on him. it’s so light weight that there is no way it could hurt anyone that way. the wind was so wild that we used the included wind-assist bags and they were very easy to use. the wind can still make it fall down but it’s so much easier than an umbrella. the sound was fairly quiet. hopefully we will get many more opportunities to use it soon. if the wind is strong, use 2 adults at least to set it up. would recommend, it’s expensive but if you have money and are sure that you can use it before Memorial Day/ after Labor day, get one!

Been looking for something larger than our old umbrella and not so closed in like our beach tent. We went to the beach with our friends that had this shade and ordered mine as soon as we got home!
