Beautiful, high quality product. Very easy to put together and disassemble, for which Shibumi is known for.
Our backyard has zero coverage and gets blasted by the sun. I love that the Park Vista is lightweight, easy to set up, and now makes the backyard an enjoyable place to lounge by providing plenty to shade.
The Park Vista shade is awesome. It’s compact enough to keep in my car without taking up space, but makes a huge difference on sunny sidelines or at the park. I can set it up in about two minutes, and it provides plenty of coverage for the whole family.

Can I use my Shibumi Park Vista™ on the Beach?
Park Vista™ is designed to anchor best in grass and natural ground, so it’s not the ideal fit for ocean side setups. For beach days, we recommend the Shibumi Beach Shade as it’s specifically built to perform beautifully in those conditions.
How long does it take to set up and takedown?
About 2 minutes. No extra hands needed. One person, quick setup, quick takedown, done.
Can I connect multiple Park Vista™ Shades together?
Yes, Park Vista™ is modular, so you can zip multiple shades together for larger group coverage.
Does it provide sun protection?
Yes, UPF 50+ fabric helps block harmful UV rays so you can stay out longer.
Is it waterproof?
While it’s not fully waterproof, Park Vista™ is water-resistant and designed to keep you comfortable through light drizzles.
How is this different from a 10x10 tent?
All the shade, none of the struggle. Park Vista™ delivers a similar footprint at nearly 10x lighter than a 10x10—sets up in minutes, no wrestling required.
Does it work on hard ground?
The Park Vista is made for grass or soft ground. In the event that the ground is too hard to stake, here are some tips:
- Tip 1: If Vista pole goes in part way and stops, move the pole a few inches to avoid rock, root, etc that could be preventing the pole from fully inserting
- Tip 2: If you have access to a water source, dump about ½ gallon of water on the ground where the vista poles will insert. Allow to sit and soak into ground, then insert poles
- Tip 3: Purchase a Hand Screw that can be kept inside your vista bag for locations with hard grass or dirt.

Hello summer! Splashpad season is here and our daughter loves hanging out and staying cool under the Vista. Super easy to setup and takedown. This is going to be our summer staple in our backyard, and to park playdates with her friends.

We just got this shade for summer park/lake days in Chicago, and I am so glad we did! We were shocked at how small, light, and compact the shade is when packaged in the carrying case. We have enough stuff to haul to the park with a baby, and this barely took up any space and was not heavy at all.
It took my husband a minute to set it up the first time, but this is because we left the instructions at home haha- I think it will be much quicker now that we have done it once. I was extremely pleased with the amount of shade it provided and it gave really cozy vibes. My daughter had too much fun climbing back and forth under the shade and peeking through. This will definitely be a staple for our summer days, especially since we can just throw it in the bottom of the stroller so easily!

I’m in North Carolina and we haven’t had a lot of rain so the ground is pretty dry and hard trouble trying to push stake in ground had to make my on solution temporarily other wise great product for kids ball games. Beats carrying a huge tent

I bought this basically the second I found out it existed. I’ve been looking for a portable shade option since forever, but I didn’t want an entire tent production and umbrellas weren’t cutting it anymore. I wanted something that moved with me, or the direction of the sun, quickly - no bulk, one-person setup. I knew there had to be something better than the just tents or umbrellas. In walks the Shibumi Park Vista…and it was love at first sight. I’m 5” tall and even I can set this up, by myself, in about 2 minutes. The design is so clever! You can tell that Shibumi thought through the details and practical application. It’s very lightweight and has a small footprint when you’re packing. I can toss it in the back of the car, carry it to our destination, and have shade almost anywhere, without looking like a clumsy fool trying to set something up that isn’t worth the work. This is easy peasy and the shade payoff is huge! I would love to see the option to purchase a base for attaching to stadium seating. That would be an absolute God send for track meets.

I have loved using this shade in my backyard to cover my kid's water table and splash pad! It is so easy to set up and take down and makes a huge amount of shade! I love how easy it is to adjust as the sun position changes. Its tiny pack size makes it so easy to store. I love it so much, I just bought another so I can make an even bigger shade!

We've used the shade for several of my son's flag football games this spring - just in time for the brutally hot NC spring/summer. The shade was easy to set up and take down (typical Shibumi), and provided plenty of shade for the whole family. My favorite part is the small pack size, making it easy to just leave it in the car for games all year.
