Shibumi Shade with Quiet™ Canopy features our quietest canopy yet. We spent more than two years developing the perfect custom fabric to reduce noise, so it stays quieter in high winds. The new Quiet Canopy also features an updated connection point where the cord connects to the shade allowing the poles to slide smoothly through the channel during setup without getting stuck. The new canopy also has a higher recycled content.

Significantly quieter. Our new Quiet Canopy has a softer, more pleasing sound at all wind speeds. The softer fabric with added stretch also significantly reduces loud flapping in high winds.
How Does It Work?

Shibumi Shade® beach shades are designed to float effortlessly on the ocean breeze. As little as 3 mph of wind is all it takes to keep the canopy floating comfortably.
Because the canopy has no rigid structure, Shibumi Shade cannot fly away in a strong gust, or tumble down the beach.

Which Size Shibumi is Right for Me?
The Shibumi Shade Classic is best for families and groups of 3 to 6, with room leftover for bags, coolers, beach gear, etc!
The new Shibumi Shade Mini is best for small groups (1-2 people), and provides about half of the shaded area of the original Shibumi Shade.

The shade had a pretty straightforward setup. No tools or big and bulky packaging needed. I went directly through the manufacturer and it was cheaper than Amazon and arrived faster than my prime shipping. Great product, great company to work with, and I'd definitely buy it again. It's a little expensive compared to some others but it's a quality product that seems to be very well made. I definitely think it's worth the money and I only use it at the beach once or twice a year.

We bought our Shibumi Shade before Memorial Day weekend and have used it several times here in Ponte Vedra Beach since then. The wind always blows off the Atlantic, so the shade stays up in the air without issues. By far the easiest beach shade to put up and take down that we've ever owned. First class company - can't say enough and would definitely purchase again. Highly recommended.

Easy set-up and take down. Lightweight. Great design. Attached photo shows a row of Shibumi shades on the beach we were at along with a crumpled up canopy-style shade in the background that was trashed by the wind.

This is by far the easiest shade cover I have ever used. Just spent a week at the beach. My son would set it up in the morning by himself. Took him about 5 minutes. I could have easily done it by myself as well. Plus ours was so colorful everyone could recognize where we were on the beach. Didn't have to worry about kids getting lost on the beach. Best purchase!!!

We have seen these used at beaches for years and finally made the investment (which was more than I had hoped).
We brought it to Hilton Head Island and were excited for our first day. We struggled to keep the ends from hitting by elderly mother over and over or even maintaining loft. We were then excited the second day to give it another go but it was worse than the first day. We decided to use the “no wind bags “ but they did not help AT ALL. There were 3 other users nearby all struggling and moving and truly all unsettled. A couple beside us said that they laugh watching users constantly moving g and trying g to navigate the wind. About an hour after we rented an umbrella so my mom could have shade the wind finally cooperated and we were able to get coverage for 2 people. I love the concert and when it is working perfect ally it is great but I am finding that is unfortunately less often than I imagined. I am disappointed especially due to the investment.

First trip to the beach after purchase and sitting without a shade. Easier to put shibumi back in the bag than get setup. For $300 a total waste of money. Should have go the small one. Nice and embarrassing 20 minutes of failing to get it to setup. Broke it down packed it up and sitting in the sun. Terrible experience. Regret purchasing the larger size. It’s also kinda obnoxious to those around you.
